Put simply it is that John provides IN THE HOME of the client both training and technical work on their Personal Computers taking away the need to take lessons at a college or taking a PC to a repair shop. Everything is personalised for the client.

What’s our training style?

John prides himself on simple, progressive step by step training on a very personal and tailored basis for individual clients. He specialises in working with either beginners and/or the over 50's - and he himself falls into that age category. All training is undertaken either in the client's own home or if more convenient at their place of work. John is very patient and sympathetic especially if giving tuition to nervous and/or novice clients.

What’s our technical style?

We charge by time and we encourage clients to watch (and learn about) technical activities whether it be installations or remedial work. We do not keep it all a secret – we want you to understand what is going on – that way you may not need to call us out the next time and can save some money. We are open and transparent. We will ONLY do work that is necessary and/or advisable and will consult at every stage.

To provide an inexpensive reliable home computer tuition and technical service primarily aimed at beginners and the over 50's.

What is our operational area?

We cover most of Lincolnshire at flat hourly fees without travel cost extras. If a client outside of our normal operating area wishes service we will usually provide it with a negotiated additional fee as compensation for extra travelling time and mileage. Note our core operating area is within a 15 mile radius of Boston (Lincs.).

What times do we work?

We typically visit clients Mondays to Fridays 09.00 to 17.00, however, we are usually willing to accommodate clients that are not available during these times – so we will consider weekend or evening work (at no extra charge). We are a small company and our telephone is not always answered personally but an answerphone is available at all non-attended times. Please do leave a message as we will return your call usually within 24 hours.

Fees

We are absolutely open about our fees and want any competitors to know what they are as much as prospective clients. We have nothing to hide and are proud of the service we offer and our highly competitive rates. We are not out to make a lot of money – just to have happy customers and to stay in business.

We charge £17.50 per hour (no VAT). We encourage you to make price comparisons because we believe that we are likely to be the lowest cost for a high quality I.T. service (possibly in the United Kingdom). Please note that there is a minimum visit fee of £30 (a call out fee if you like). So to explain this clearly; If the training or technical work is for an hour we will still charge £30 even though our hourly rate is £17.50. - So one hour costs £30 and two hours would cost £35 (so best to have a two hour visit really!). If you are not clear on our fees, please ask. The minimum visit fee is not in addition to hourly fees - it is as it states "our minimum fee".

We do not undertake “NO FIX – NO FEE” work that you sometimes see advertised – we only work on hourly fees and would urge clients that may consider employing the above to get a fixed quote BEFORE any work is undertaken.

Time estimates for technical work.

These are estimates, not quotes, thus if overruns occur because of ‘glitches’ the time will still be charged for.

• As above (including a WIRED Broadband installation): 2.5 hours (£43.75)
• As above (including a WIRELESS installation): 3 hours (£52.50)
• Computer ‘health-check’: 2 hours (£35)
• As above with remedial work required to remove viruses or spyware etc.: 3 hours (£52.50)
